RetroTherm® LITE Low Profile Insulated Underfloor Heating Overlay Panel – 16mm pipe

Engineered for efficiency, the RetroTherm® LITE low-profile insulated overlay panel system offers a versatile underfloor heating solution for retrofit and new build applications alike. Perfect for applications where added floor insulation, minimum height build-up, or a particularly lightweight system, is needed.

Each panel consists of a high-density, 20mm thick XPS* insulation board, routed accommodate 16mm pipe at 150mm pipe spacings for high heat outputs.

A foil face on the top side of the board creates a highly conductive surface that transfers heat quickly and efficiently to the floor above, helping deliver excellent performance with minimal floor height build-up.

RetroTherm® LITE panels are lightweight, easy to cut, and install using a simple spray adhesive method – making them ideal for fast-paced domestic renovation projects. The pre-routed grooves further speed up installation time and minimise errors.

The system works particularly well with hard floor finishes like tile or stone, due to their low thermal resistance. In these cases, tiles can be laid directly onto the primed panels using a suitable flexible tile adhesive, eliminating the need for a self-levelling compound.

RetroTherm® LITE panels are also compatible with other floor finishes, including vinyl, LVT, engineered wood, and carpet, when installed in accordance with the correct preparation guidelines. With these floor coverings, a 6-10mm layer of self-levelling compound or cement board is recommended to create a smooth, flat, stable surface and provide a thermal mass to aide heat transfer.
