TUS Installer Product Showcase is a hit!

The first ever TUS Installer Product Showcase was held at the Pirelli Stadium in Burton On Trent in February.

 This new event was designed to provide heating installers with an opportunity to learn more about TUS and the products we supply – underfloor heating systems, renewable heating systems and press fit plumbing solutions. 

In addition to product displays and demonstrations from TUS, Emmeti UK, REMS, Hitachi and Stiebel Eltron, there were a number of presentations throughout the day. 

TUS MD, Mike Beck, discussed how installers can grow their business through underfloor heating and capitalise on the growth of the UFH market in the UK. 

Paul Fowkes, Head of Renewables at The Electric Heat Warehouse followed with a presentation explaining how plumbing and heating engineers can get started with renewable heating technologies, in particular, air and ground source heat pumps and how they can benefit from upskilling in renewables now to get ahead of their competition.  

The third and final presentation was delivered by Adam Stephenson, Sales Manager for Emmeti UK, and focussed on their Gerpex press fit plumbing system. Adam explained the numerous benefits of the Gerpex system and how press fit plumbing can save installers time and money while providing a more reliable alternative to push fit systems. 

Following the presentations we were joined by Tony Dumble (Unequaled Heating), Pete Booth (GV Booth), Todd Glister (Glister Services) and Tom Woodward (Ashby Home Heating) to discuss the above topics and get their thoughts on the future of the heating market and where underfloor heating and renewable heating fit into this. We also discussed several other topics including the use of social media for growing your business and the #novanber campaign to tackle van tool theft.

The event was well received by all who attended and plans for a follow up event have already begun. Mike Beck said:

“There are big changes happening right now in the UK heating market and the shift towards renewable heating sources over the next few years will further accelerate both the heat pump and underfloor heating markets. 

Plumbing and heating businesses have an opportunity to embrace these products now and get ahead of the curve and so it was fantastic to see so many installers taking time out to educate themselves and learn how TUS can support them to grow their business.”
