Our client was part of a team working to restore a 17th Century barn which was recently featured on the Channel 4 television series ‘Restoration Man’ with George Clarke.
Jude McKelvey took on the monumental task of restoring the dilapidated barn into a family home to share with her two boys – a project made all the more difficult by the tight conservation restrictions on the Grade II listed building.
Following the supply of project plans we provided our client, Renewable Designs, with a suitable underfloor heating solution which included over 3km of underfloor heating pipework!
The ground floor underfloor heating system was installed using a pipe in screed system.
A low profile overfloor system was specified on the first floor due to restrictions with the available build up height.
The end user wanted the capability of controlling the underfloor heating system remotely from a smartphone or tablet so the Heatmiser Neo system was specified enabling complete control of the system from anywhere.
