Underfloor Heating Installation Training

Our 2026 one day installation course covers the following modules:

• Introduction to Underfloor Heating — Understanding the features and benefits of UFH and how to sell these to your customers. We’ll cover how UFH works, why demand is growing, and the comfort, efficiency and design advantages that help you win over hesitant customers.
• The Commercial Opportunity for Heating Installers — How to capitalise on the growth of the underfloor heating market in the UK. We’ll look at where the work is, the margins available, and how UFH can become a profitable, repeatable part of your business rather than a one-off job.
• UFH System Design — Get to grips with the principles behind a well-designed system: pipe spacing and circuit lengths, flow temperatures, manifold positioning and zoning. You’ll see how a proper design protects performance, keeps running costs down, and gives you a specification you can quote and install with confidence.
• Understanding UFH Systems — Learn how to select the right system for every project — new builds, renovations, extensions and upper floors. We’ll walk through the key questions to ask on every job, from floor build-up and heat loss to floor coverings and customer budget.
• UFH Components — Manifolds, pipes, controls, accessories and tools. We’ll go through what each component does, how they work together as part of a system, and what you need on the van to deliver a clean, reliable installation.
• System Installation — Practical installation tutorials for all systems. This is the hands-on heart of the course, working through real installations of each system type so you leave knowing exactly how it’s done.  You’ll get to grips with the techniques required to install the most popular systems for new and existing properties.
• Incorporating UFH into your Business — We finish with an overview of how to find UFH work, pricing, resources, and how Trade Underfloor can support you as a trade partner.

Location: Our courses take place at our brand new dedicated training facility in Swadlincote, Derbyshire, DE11 7FU.

Time: 9am to 5pm.

Please note: Due to the practical nature of the course we restrict the number of places on each date to a maximum of 10.
